The Concert will begin with Havdalah sung by Kol HaLev, followed by secular instrumental music. Soloists will include Cantor Rachel Gottlieb Kalmowitz, Temple Beth El of Bloomfield Hills; Freda Herseth, Professor of Voice at the University of Michigan; and Ray McLellan, organist. Also performing are graduate students from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater and Dance: cellists Leo Singer, Caroline Kim, and Richard Narroway; and the Ivalas Quartet, Anita Dumar, violin, Reuben Kebede, violin, Caleb Georges, viola, and Pedro Sánchez, cello.
